Monday 14th August – Rhydymain and surrounds.

Gosh it is wet today. Good Welsh sodding rain soaking into everything. Our modus operandi was for inside activities. First port of call was to an old slate quarry where we did an underground tour including a boat ride across an underground lake – not possible to take photos.

It was then off to this place called CATS which was a technology museum concentrating on sustainable energy. It was partly outside and the rain continued to make itself well known!!!

Off to a lovely pub for an early dinner and a night in watching Fawlty Towers which only made us feel really dated but still always a good laugh.
